Not a fan of email? Text messaging may be the answer for your group.
With one of our paid plans, you have the ability to send text messages to group members that opt in for texts.
- Log in to your account and click the Messages icon on the left side of your account page.
- Choose the Create Message tab.
- Under Message Type, select Text.
- Choose your Recipients: a group or sign up participants.
- Write your message in the text box.
- You can choose to include a sign up link (we’ll shorten it for you).
- You can also add a reply-to email address (recommended since texts are one-way).
- If your message includes an access code, we’ll add that automatically.
- Click Preview to review the final message before sending.
- Click Send Now or Schedule for Later.
If you are on the go, you can also use our mobile version to send a text message.
All text messages now include:
“STOP to opt out” and “HELP for help.”
These are automatically included and displayed in the preview before sending.
Texts are one-way only. If someone replies, they’ll get a message letting them know how to contact you via your sign up. If a participant hasn’t opted in to receive texts, the message will be emailed to them instead. The emailed version won’t include the “STOP/HELP” language. If a participant unsubscribes by texting STOP, they can rejoin by texting START to the number they received messages from. We’ll send them a confirmation when they’re back in.
