When editing a sign up description, if you receive the following error message:
"Please correct the following issues: Your content contains characters that are not allowed"
You will not be able to proceed editing the sign up until the errors are corrected.
To avoid issues when adding content to your description, here are a few tips:
Use the standard text editor provided:
- You may encounter errors when copying and pasting text from other sources due to unsupported formatting. These types of errors are often not obvious and can be a result of formatting that is not visible but still present. Using the text editor within SignUpGenius to type and format the description is the easiest way to ensure your content is compatible with the system.
Avoid certain characters and symbols:
- Our system filters characters that don't work well with its code. For example, if you have an "em dash" or "en dash" (— or –), try replacing it with a comma, semicolon, or another punctuation mark. You can also use the regular dash (-) from your keyboard.
