Need to send your sign up out into the world? A clickable hyperlink makes it easy to share your sign up in an email, newsletter, document, or website without pasting a long URL.
First, grab the unique link to your sign up from your account. Then, you can take that link to turn it into clickable text like Sign Up Here, Volunteer Now, or anything else that fits your message.
Find Your Sign Up Link
Once your sign up is published, you can find the link at any time.
- Log in to your SignUpGenius account and go to the Created tab.
- Click the ••• icon next to the sign up and select Edit.
- Go to the Share tab.
- Click Copy Link next to your sign up URL.
You can also open the published sign up and copy the URL directly from your browser's address bar.
Note: Your sign up must be published before you can share the live sign up link.
Get a Link to All Your Published Sign Ups
Want to share all published sign ups in your account at once? An index page brings all your active sign ups together in one place, making it easy for participants to find and join multiple events without needing separate links.
To create an index page:
- Log in to your SignUpGenius account and select Tools from the left menu.
- Click Web Button Builder.
- Choose how to sort your sign ups by title, group, start date, or end date.
- Find the option to display all your active sign ups and copy the index page URL.
- Share the link in an email, newsletter, or website.
Your index page automatically updates as you publish new sign ups or existing ones become inactive, so there's no need to update the link manually.
Genius Tip: Want to add your index page directly to your website? Use the Web Button Builder to create a clickable button that directs visitors to all your active sign ups.
Create a Hyperlink
A hyperlink lets you turn words such as Sign Up Here or Volunteer Now into a clickable link instead of displaying the full URL.
To create one:
- Type the text you want people to click, such as Sign Up Here.
- Highlight the text.
- Select the Insert Link or Hyperlink option in the email program, document editor, or website tool you are using.
- Paste your SignUpGenius link into the URL or web address field.
- Save or apply the link.
When participants click the hyperlinked text, they will be taken directly to your sign up.
Genius Tip: Before sending or publishing your message, click the hyperlink to make sure it opens the correct sign up.
Add Links to Your Sign Up Description
Clickable links inside sign up descriptions are available on paid SignUpGenius plans. They're handy for pointing Participants to a waiver, a map, or your organization's website right from the sign up.
Note: On free accounts, the Insert Link option doesn't appear in the description editor toolbar. To help protect Organizers and Participants from spam and harmful content, we've removed the ability to add external links to sign up descriptions on free accounts. You can still share those links in your own emails or newsletters alongside your sign up link. To compare plans, visit our Pricing page.
To add a link to your sign up description on a paid plan:
- Select the Created tab, click the ••• icon next to the sign up, and select Edit.
- Select the Design tab.
- In the description editor, highlight the text you want to turn into a link.
- Click the Insert Link icon in the editor toolbar.
- Paste the web address into the URL field and apply the link.
- Click Save to confirm your changes.
Genius Tip: Open your published sign up and click the link to make sure it goes to the right page.
