If you've been invited to take part in a SignUpGenius peer-to-peer fundraiser, you're in good hands. Here's everything you need to know to be a successful fundraiser.
Customize your participant fundraising page
Whether you received an email invitation or instructions to register at a specific URL, you'll end up with an email invitation and a link to your personal fundraising page. Here's what to do next:
- Click Get Started in your email invitation.
- This takes you to edit mode on your personal fundraising page, where you can make it your own. You can typically edit your avatar photo, upload a personal video or image, and add a message to your supporters. Click the teal View Page button along the way to preview your page.
Share your fundraising page
Once your page is ready, click the orange Share Your Page Link button and copy the URL. Then share it with your network — get creative with emails, text messages, or a social post to spread the word.
Track your progress
Check your fundraising page anytime to track your progress. It shows your total collected, along with each donor and their donation amount, plus any words of encouragement your friends and donors leave.
Record your completed activity (on some fundraisers)
Some Organizers let Participants record their completed activity, like laps run or pages read. If your Organizer has turned on this feature for your fundraiser, you'll see a field on your fundraising page to log your activity. Look for reminders in your inbox and on your fundraising page, since this needs to happen within a set timeframe.
