Peer-to-Peer flat donation fundraisers let your Participants raise money on your behalf — each with their own fundraising page connected to your campaign. This article walks you through setting up and publishing a flat donation fundraiser from start to finish.
Get Started
- From the Dashboard, click Create and select Peer-to-Peer Fundraising.
- Choose Flat Donations as your fundraiser type.
Basic Info
- Enter your fundraiser name, description, and a contact name for questions.
- If you want your fundraiser to close automatically, set an end date and time. If you'd prefer to close it manually, leave these fields blank.
Motivate Donors
Encourage donations by giving supporters something to rally around.
- Toggle on Show Fundraising Goal to display a progress bar on your fundraising page. Enter your goal amount in the field provided.

Participant Options
Registration
Toggle on Public Registration to add a sign-up button directly to your fundraising page. This lets anyone who discovers your campaign sign up as a Participant on their own. If you leave this off, you'll need to share the registration link yourself to control who joins.
To add a personal touch to the invitation, enter a custom message in the Participant Invitation Email field. Participants will see this message when they're invited to create their own fundraising page.
Participant Pages
Choose how much control Participants have over their individual pages:
- Allow Participants to update their display name, or limit it to first name and last initial only
- Let Participants add their own photo or video
- Give Participants the option to write a short note to their donors
- Show a leaderboard on each Participant's individual page
Goal Setting
Choose how individual fundraising goals are handled:
- Participants set their own goal — each Participant chooses their own target
- You set the goal — all Participants are assigned the same goal amount
- No goal — Participants raise as much as they can with no target set
Donation Settings
Configure how donations are collected on your fundraising page.
- Enter amounts in the Preset Donation Amounts field to give donors quick options at checkout.
- Toggle on Allow General Donations to let supporters give directly to the overall campaign without selecting a specific Participant.
- Click Add Question to include custom questions donors will answer at checkout.
- Enter a message in the Custom Thank You field to personalize the confirmation donors receive after giving.
Payment Settings
- Toggle on Allow eCheck if you'd like to offer eCheck as a payment option in addition to credit card.
- Enter a description in the Statement Descriptor field to customize how the charge appears on donors' credit card statements.
- Under Fee Coverage, choose whether to cover some or all transaction fees yourself or pass them to donors.
Preview and Publish
- Click Preview to review how your fundraising page will appear to donors and Participants.
- Click Publish when you're ready to go live.
Add Participants
Once your fundraiser is published, add your Participants. You can:
- Share the public registration link so Participants can sign up on their own (if you enabled Public Registration)
- Add Participants manually by entering their details directly
- Upload a file using the provided template
- Copy and paste Participant details in bulk
You can also create teams and assign individual Participants to them.
