Tickets are an item type with a suite of robust functionality. When someone buys a ticket, the Participant (and any attendees they add) get a QR code ticket by email. The Organizer can then scan those tickets using the SignUpGenius mobile app for fast, easy check-ins. It's the feature set you've been looking for to streamline events, concessions, and more. Ticketing is a Team feature.
Add a ticket to your Payment Page
Tickets work a little differently than standard items:
- Tickets let you add event-specific details, including an optional date, time and location.
- Tickets automatically come with three question fields: first name, last name, and email address.
- Purchased tickets come with QR code tickets the Organizer (or another Admin) can scan using the SignUpGenius mobile app.
Follow these steps to add a ticket to your Payment Page:
- From Build > Items, choose the ticket option, or click Add Item and select Ticket from the modal.
- Give your ticket a name, choose an amount type, set the price, and add the quantity available, if applicable (unlimited by default).
- Add an optional description and/or image.
- Add an optional date, time and location.
- Add optional settings, like making the quantity available public, setting a per-person quantity limit, or requiring a ticket purchase for checkout.
- Review the default questions on your ticket, and add more if needed.
Preview your ticket
As always, you can preview your Payment Page as you build it. When previewing a ticket, you'll notice two things that set tickets apart from standard items:
- When a Participant adjusts the quantity of tickets during checkout, the question fields repeat so each ticket has its own set. This lets the Participant designate each attendee (first name, last name, and email address) and send them their tickets.
